Otti, Usman, Abaribe celebrate Ikezue's Peace Ambassador award

The conferment of the Ambassador of Peace honour on the Labour Party (LP) Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in Accra, Ghana, has continued to attract commendations from political leaders and prominent Nigerians.
The honour, presented at an international UPF event in Accra, has been described by LP leaders as recognition of Ikezue’s record of service, peace advocacy and community leadership.
In a congratulatory message, Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, described Ikezue as a worthy ambassador of the party whose character and antecedents, he said, reflected peace, integrity and service.
Governor Otti said Ikezue’s background as a priest and community leader had been marked by commitment to peace and selfless service, adding that the international recognition was well deserved.
Similarly, the Acting National Chairman of the party, Senator Nenadi Usman, congratulated Ikezue on the honour and said it had brought pride to the party.
Usman, on behalf of the party’s National Working Committee, described the award as recognition of Ikezue’s capacity and commitment to the ideals of a new Nigeria, while identifying him as a supporter of the Obidient movement.
Also reacting, the Senator representing Abia South and former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, described Ikezue as a diligent, humble and passionate leader.
Abaribe said the UPF recognition was fitting for someone he described as committed to peace and justice, expressing confidence in his leadership qualities.
The international honour was conferred on Ikezue alongside former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, during the UPF event in Accra, which attracted dignitaries from different parts of the world.
The recognition has continued to attract reactions within the party and among Ikezue’s supporters in Anambra Central, with supporters describing the honour as further recognition of his public service record.
