Obosi endorsement rally: Soludo blasts guber opposition, urges voters to collect their money, vote APGA

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, had at an endorsement rally held in his honour at Nwobodo Ugamuma square, Obosi, Idemili North Local Government area, blasted gubernatorial candidates from different political parties contesting with him, accusing them of having nothing to offer to the people of the state.
His words, "None of them is fighting to be governor, let them bring their money, when they bring their money they get from Abuja, collect and vote for APGA. We have APGA as the only party in Anambra state.
"We will vote and count the votes, some say results have been written, it is not possible, our eyes are open, such can not happen in Anambra," he vowed
He paid glowing tribute to the monarch, Igwe Chidubem Iweka, PG Obosi (Inland), Barr. Chimezie Obi, PG Obosi Urban, Chief Emeka Asimonye, Mayor Idemili North council area, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka and entire people of Obosi and its environs for endorsing his second tenure bid recalling that Obosi is an ancient kingdom with Iweka palace building constructed in 1908.
"My first work after my secondary school education was in Obosi where I worked as a proof reader with Nigerian Mirror newspaper, owned by the Iweka family," revealed.
On the damages done to scores of vehicles, and the Obosi town hall by personnel of Special Anti Touting Agency of the state government, which sparked wide spread condemnation across the state, Soludo apologized and assured them that the body would be reorganized for the better.
"We set up SASA out of necessity, we are going to reform their modus operandi and a committee has been set up towards that for the better. PG told me the matter has been settled, all the damages will be repaired, and the town hall makes to be better than it was earlier," Soludo maintained.
In his response, Igwe Iweka expressed satisfaction with the governor's intervention in the matter and his rapid infrastructural development of the state adding that it was based on his numerous achievements that the Obosi community and its environs endorsed him for second tenure.
Contributing, the PG Obosi Inland, Barr. Chimezie Obi, said the community was happy with Soludo not only because of the appointment of one of their sons as the commissioner for Works, but also the appointment of another, Hon. Anthony Amaifeonu as Special Assistant to the governor on House of Assembly Matters.
He lamented however that Obosi being the largest ward across the Southeast zone has not been given its right of place as a full fledged local government area considering its large population and land mass.
Also the PG, Obosi Urban, Chief Emeka Asimonye, said, "Obosi is marginalized in terms of constituency . Obosi is like two to three local government areas put together, like Onitsha North and South put together. So Obosi needs to be a local government area of itself.
"We have Obosi Inland and Obosi Urban, Obosi Urban alone is as large as Onitsha North and South put together. We thank Soludo that work has commenced at Owele Aja that is erosion prone. We need our governor to work on the Ezeiweka road, Eke Nkpor/Obosi road and others We endorse him for second tenure because of the marvellous work he has done," he revealed.
The Chairman of Idemili North Local Government area, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka, in his speech said that the turn up of people to endorse the governor for second tenure was unprecedented and attributed it to the good work he has been doing in the state
His words, "The crowd is like what you see in a local government rally, the population is much more than what you have in Anambra West. We have APGA and others and we have won the gubernatorial election.
"What we should be talking about is the margin of win, we have won already. What we are looking at in Idemili is margin of win, the votes will be larger this time around," he stated
