Healthcare, skill acquisition, youth empowerment my priority - ADC candidate, Nwuzor vows

Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Awka North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Dominic Okey Nwuzor has pledged quality and purposeful representation for the people of his constituency.
Addressing supporters at the formal flagg-off of his campaign at Nibo ward II, Nwuzor, nicknamed ‘Ududo’ (the spider) because of his network of followers vowed to be in touch with the people unlike those who would only remember them during election.
He said the chose to flag-off his campaign in his ward was informed by 'charity begins at home' mantra, urging his people to support and believe in him as they would not regret their decision.
Nwuzor said, "Unlike those who represented the federal constituency before me and only remember them during election, I'll be in touch with the people.
"Having studied the constituency, I will create a performance index and provide each community with their needs. My priority will be in three core areas of health care, skill acquisition and youth empowerment.
"I belong to a new generation of leadership that will give positive direction to the constituency. I won't be a sleeping legislator. You will hear my voice in the National Assembly on daily basis."
Former national chairman and founder of ADC, Chief Nwosu urged Nibo people to break the jinx of the void in their representation of the constituency.
He recalled that since 1999 when Hon. Ozor Ughammadu represented the constituency, no other person from the community has risen to prominence.
Nwosu assured that ADC presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would win the election, saying, "Atiku will sweep the north and earn enough votes in at least four states from the south.
"No other candidate has as much advantage as Atiku. And if Nwuzor wins, Nibo will have other advantages such as more development and ambassadorial positions."
Also speaking, state chairman of the party Rt. Hon. BenChuks Nwosu said the party carefully selected Nwuzor knowing full well of his capacity to win.
He advised the ADC hopeful and his supporters to campaign seriously among Obizi power block which he said yielded significant votes during elections.
While applauding women supporters, especially the Ududo Support Group, Nwosu urged them not to relent, saying they had proved reliable over the years.
Hon. C. C. Okeke pledged support to Nwuzor's candidature him, just as he commended his wisdom in flagging his campaign from home.
Woman leader, Hon. Mrs. Oguelina pledged to lead the women for Nwuzor’s victory, while Nwuzor’s eldest brother, Sir Edwin Chira Nwuzor described his brother as trust worthy and a man of his words, pleading with voters to support him.
Other dignitaries that graced the event were chairman of ADC on Enugu state, member national executive council Hon. C. C. Okeke and woman leader Hon. Mrs. Nkechi Oguelina, traditional ruler of Nibo Igwe Ezike who was represented by his cabinet chiefs, among others.
It was indeed a show of solidarity, enthusiasm and renewed commitment as thousands of supporters gathered to identify with the young, articulate and courageous leader who said he is determined to provide purposeful representation for the people of Awka North/South.
