DG SON, NAFDAC, others to brainstorm on Anambra IMAN stakeholders' seminar...them, securing trade corridor and unlocking blue economy opportunities

The Hon. Minister of Mine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola and Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state will be special guests of honour at a two day (15-16 September), Importers Association of Nigeria, (IMAN) Statewide stakeholders sensitization seminar, themed, 'Securing trade corridors and unlocking blue economy, opportunities, in collaboration with Anambra state government.
According to the State chairman of IMAN, Hon. Obinna Molokwu, the Directors General, (DGs) of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, (NAFDAC), Mojisola Adeyeye and SON, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Chukwurah Okeke, including the Managing Director, National Inlandwater Ways Authority, (NIWA), Bola Oyabamiji, among others will brainstorm on the theme of the seminar.
He stated that the aim of the seminar is also for positioning Anambra state for safe Commerce, AFCFTA competitiveness and sustainable economic growth.
The seminar lead lecturer, Dr Obiorah Madu, who is the founder, African Supply Chain Academy, and the Commissioner for Commerce, Mrs. Folashade Ambrose Medebe, are expected to bring their wealth of experience to the gathering.
Molokwu explained further that other dignitaries expected at the seminar billed for Awka, State capital, include, CEO, Nigerian Shippers' Council, Pius Ukeyima Akutah, Comptroller General of Customs, BA Adeniyi, Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Tunde Disu and Dr. Samuel Babatunde, moderator.
He recalled that IMAN has been of great assistance to the three tiers of government towards crime reduction adding that the seminar will assist in no small measure towards ensuring zero tolerance for illegal arms importation.
