Anambra Police commence investigation on murdered Nwangwu...deceased father alleges gang up

The Anambra State Criminal Investigation Department, (CID), of the state Police Command, has reportedly commenced discrete investigation to unravel the circumstances leading to the alleged murder of Emeka Nwangwu, who hailed from Ngandam village, Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government area of the state.
Making this disclosure to newsmen, the father of the deceased, Emmanuel Nwangwu, told newsmen Thursday that, "Preliminary investigation according to what we were told by the Police from CID Awka, who have commenced investigation, my son, Emeka, after being lynched in the house of Dr. Okpala, with blocks, clubs and machetes, by a gang up assailants, they took him to hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
"The gang up assailants then made transfer payment for the release of the corpse and then they brought the corpse in front of our house gate and left. After killing my son, they brought him to my house gate maybe to thank them for killing my son," he cried profusely.
Recall that the residents of Ngandam village were thrown into mourning mood on hearing about the sudden demiss of Emeka Nwangwu, on the eve of last Easter, laying curses on the perpetrators as they described the deceased as a man of the people.
According to the blind and amputated father of the deceased, I want justice for my murdered son, it was a gang up murder against my son and perpetrators of this dastardly act should tell me why they killed my son," he further cried.
"My son was invited by the suspected killers to the house of Dr. Okpala in Umuru village, and on arrival he was immediately attacked with machetes, blocks and clubs resulting in his instant death.
"We reported the matter to Nnobi police Division and five people that included Dr. Okpala, in whose compound the murder was committed were arrested. Okpala was released on health ground as I was told but that does not mean he has been set free.
"The suspects and the case file have been transferred to State CID by the DPO of Nnobi police Division and we are happy about that because relations of the killers called for settlement and the DPO gave some days for such but the meeting ended in fiasco and the DPO took the matter to Awka for discrete investigation.
"I need justice in this matter. I am blind and my legs were amputated on health ground , that I still live is because of this my son that they have killed just like that, without doing them anything. I need justice on his death. The perpetrators can not be left to go Scott free, I plead to Governor Soludo, Commissioner of Police. CP Ikioye Orutugu, and other good spirited individuals to come to my rescue," he cried.
