My ordeal in the hands of SIU Police Abuja for not paying #2m bail - Abuja business woman

I saw hell in the hands of policemen at the Inspector General of Police, IGP Special investigation Unit, (SIU), Force headquarters Abuja, set up by the immediate past IGP, Kayode Egbetokun and headed by ACP Moses Jolugbo as Commander, just for not paying #2million bail.
This assertion was made by an Abuja based woman trader, who deals in forex business, Gloria Ononuju while briefing newsmen on her agony which was inflicted on her by the police at the said SIU.
Narrating her ordeal she stated that, "Because I was not able to refund fully the Loan I got from my business partners, there was a shortage of #25million and my business partners dragged me to SIU Force headquarters Abuja despite my plea to them through my lawyer to refund the #25million within three months as forex business is not a stable business, (it fluctuates )
"At the SIU the Commander, Moses Jolugbo after interviewing me said I should produce #2 million as condition for my bail and I told him that if I have such money I should put it as part payment to the #25 million that I am owing the partners.
"He then ordered for my immediate detention with the aid of his officers that included SP Shilamite Ilodigwe, I was taken to Asokoro police station where I was detained for about four months
"I regained my freedom through the court as I filed for abuse of fundamental human rights through my lawyer. A lot of human rights abuses are going on at SIU. It is the highest human rights abuses police unit nationwide.
"I am happy that a Daniel, the new IGP has come to judgment and with the restructuring of the police force which he has embarked upon, all the bad eggs at SIU that drag the image of the police to the mud will be fished out to face the wrath of the law.
"The new IGP is a non nonsense man who has come to transform the police force to be seen by the public as a partner in progress. Let the officers there be removed and investigated on human rights abuses that include prolonged detention without charging suspects to court.
"Suspects are detained for months, three, four to eight months and sometimes at the instruction of complainants who make payments for such illegal detentions. I plead to Tunde Disu, new IGP, to come to the rescue", she pleaded.
