Ex-PDP chieftain joins APGA, vows to deliver Soludo

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Uke Ward Idemili North Local Government Area witnessed a boost in its political alignment with the joining of Hon Chinedu Okosa into the membership of the party in Uke.
Okosa contested for Uke Ward Counsellorship position during the last local government elections on the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, a gigantic stunt he displayed with youthful vigor and political equanimity.
Addressing APGA faithful and officials in Uke after he was duly presented to the Idemili North LG Chairman, Stanley Nkwoka, Okosa said he decided to join APGA as a veritable political platform to make his meaningful contributions to the progress and development of Uke, Idemili North and the State.
He appreciated the Council Chairman for his undiluted love for the community, describing APGA as the best political instrument made available for the development of Anambra State.
Okosa, Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture in the area said that the day's event marks his official declaration for the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in Uke Ward as well as his full membership of the political party.
"November 8 election is only but a springboard to shoot Prof Chukwuma Soludo up to his second term bid as the Governor of the State. Uke community shall surely deliver the Governor in the election, he added.
Reacting to Okosa's defection Nkwoka was high in his spirit of gratitude and appreciation, first, to High Chief Ikechukwu Okosa, Chinedu Okosa's father and political mentor for politically midwifing Chinedu for the party APGA, second, to Chinedu Okosa for mustering the courage and political determination to take such a bold step.
Nkwoka maintained that Prof Chukwuma Soludo's second term as Governor of Anambra State is already a decided feat and that with all the available political permutations in Uke, the Governor shall receive a massive support at the November 8 poll.
Nkwoka specifically recognized the youths and Chinyelugo Support Group, CSG, Chinedu Okosa's campaign machinery and enjoined them to do the needful when are where their services are needed.
Welcoming the Idemili North Mayor to his compound, High Chief Ikechukwu Okosa, Ijele Uke said that the common goal of politics anywhere in the world is all about the people.
He therefore made a specific appeal for Ndi Uke to come out on the day of election and make their mark so that government shall recognize the community in the scheme of things in the State.
On his part, the President-General, Uke Development Union, Chief Peter Onyejegbu assured that Uke community shall work in unity with APGA Uke Ward to deliver Prof Chukwuma Soludo in the forthcoming election.
High Chief Chuksbrown Ezeoba Igboañua, the immediate past Transition Chairman, Idemili North appreciated APGA Uke Ward for turning out in their numbers to grace the occasion.
The Chairman, APGA Uke Ward Chief John Ubaezuonu had earlier formally presented Hon Chinedu Okosa to the Local Government Chairman as a bona fide member of APGA in Uke.
