Anambra poll: Workers will enjoy ₦100,000 minimum wage under my leadership - AAC candidate

Gubernatorial Candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) Chioma Ifemeludike has reassured a leadership built on clarity, courage, and practical solutions if elected at the November 8 election in Anambra state.
Ifemeludike gave the assurance at a gubernatorial debate organised by Creative Mind Center for Youth and Community Development in collaboration with Active Citizens Media.
She promised an increased N100,000 minimum wage for civil servants, just as she assured provision of grants, loans, and modern equipment to farmers for improved efficiently.
She said, "Our campaign isn't built on empty promises or politics as usual; it's built on a realistic, achievable plan to make governance work for the people.
"We envision a safer, smarter, and more inclusive Anambra. Under my administration, we will launch a strong and professional Vigilante Agency that will undergo proper training to protect our people effectively.
"This agency will operate within the law, work closely with communities, and restore confidence in local security.
"On education, we reaffirm our plan to revamp our schools by updating curriculums to meet modern standards and building infrastructure that supports quality learning.
"We will strengthen both formal and informal education, ensuring that every child, youth, and adult in Anambra has access to opportunities for growth and skill development.
"Our campaign also prioritizes youth empowerment and job creation. We will invest in vocational and entrepreneurial training, giving young people the tools to build, create, and sustain businesses.
"By supporting our youth, we will reduce unemployment and stimulate the local economy.
"Agriculture remains a key pillar of our vision. We will mechanize farming, adopting modern methods and technology to replace outdated practices.
"Our administration will provide grants, loans, and modern equipment to farmers, enabling them to produce more efficiently and contribute to food security and economic growth.
"Under my leadership, the minimum wage in Anambra will be increased to ₦100,000. This is not a political promise but a practical commitment.
"By cutting unnecessary government expenses and investing wisely in agriculture and internal revenue growth, we can achieve this and sustain it.
"Our campaign stands for inclusivity and fairness. Persons with disabilities will not be left out of governance; they will have a voice at the decision-making table.
"My administration will appoint qualified persons with disabilities into the cabinet because good governance must represent everyone."
