People of Ukwulu ancient kingdom in Dunukofia Local Government Area have unanimously pledged 99% votes to Governor Chukwuma Soludo during the November 8 governorship election in the state.
Traditional Ruler of Ukwulu Community, Igwe Peter Anaukwu Uyanwa disclosed this in a message marking his 2025 new yam festival in the community.
The royal father said the Governor had done well in all ramifications in repositioning the state economy.
He urged those he referred to as power hungry politicians in the state to allow Soludo complete his 8 years tenure in office to enable him consolidate on what he started.
"Everybody cannot become the Governor of the state at the same time. We are pleased with what Charlie Nwagbafor is doing in the state," he said.
The monarch also urged few individuals fomenting trouble in the community to rethink and key into the development of the community.
He declared heavenly blessings upon his subjects both at home and in diaspora, urging those living in affluence to invest some of their wealth in infrastructural and human capital development of the community.
He showered blessings on people of the State, Ukwulu community, Governor Soludo as well as Prince Engr. Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu), saying the event marked the beginning of new things in the area and Anambra State at large.
He stressed the need for peaceful co-existence in Ukwulu ancient kingdom, praying God to end incessant untimely deaths in the community.
In a homily during an interdenominational service as part of activities marking the new yam festival, Catholic priest, Rev Fr Peter Eche said the year's bountiful harvests in Ukwulu community was something worthy of thanking God by the people.
He thanked God for blessing the community with somebody like Igwe Uyanwa,whom he noted, had done a lot in both infrastructural and human capital development of the community.
