Nonye Soludo and Her Extraordinary Vision of "Little Things."

If you have never really been around Anambra governor’s wife, you are definitely leaving a huge gap in your perspective of life's totalness. You really should know this woman whose life inadvertently affects your psychology of life. Nonye is not a governor’s wife; she is a product of distinctive ordinariness. A woman whose image and presence heal all suspicions. You may likely not agree with my convictions about this extraordinary woman. You don't have to. I understand. But the truth is that you definitely haven't seen this Nonye Soludo.
About two weeks ago during her visit to Dunukofia Local Government Headquarters, Ukpo, for the disbursement of ₦54,250,000 recapitalization grants to about 1,085 female petty traders (Ndi afia table), the governor's wife took a step that held the crowd awestruck. While handing out the grants to the women who were lined up a few metres away from where she was seated, Mrs Soludo ever-conscious eyes caught two walking impaired persons who were struggling fruitlessly for movement on the grassy field. She immediately called the Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, who, graciously, was at the event, and she whispered something into his right ear.
About twenty-five minutes after the whole event had ended and when both the organizers and the invitees were expecting her to leave, Mrs Nonye Soludo was still seated, waiting patiently for something that everyone around her didn't have a single clue of. She was relaxed and calm — her natural approach to life even in the heart of daring storms. Her eyes stayed fixed on something that no one could ever pick a guess on. Thirty-eight minutes later, and when everyone had become conspicuously discomposed, two brand new wheelchairs arrived. It would later be understood that the First Lady had told the Commissioner for Health that she needed two wheelchairs for the two persons she sighted a few minutes ago. The two wheelchairs had been brought all the way from Awka, and despite the pleas from the Commissioner for the governor’s wife to take her leave and allow the chairman of the local government to hand over the wheelchairs later, she insisted on doing it herself and would wait until they were brought.
The crowd didn't believe it; everyone consumed by torrents of emotion as Mrs Soludo not only ensured that the two persons got comfortably seated on the wheelchairs, but received cash that would sustain them for a long time. That's the nature of Anambra governor's wife; a woman whose aura of kindness and altruism go right before her name and personality. That would not be the first time that Mrs Soludo would display such a selfless gesture of love. For he position and the need for official documentation, you'd never see the Anambra governor's wife lending help and showing her natural traits of compassion in camera or publicly. It's not just being selflessly there for people who need an air of grace that Mrs Nonye Soludo finds her greatest affability and strength. No. Long before Charles Chukwuma Soludo became a household name in Nigeria and Africa, this saint-worthy name had been there doing spectacular stuff barely known. Anambra is now truly in the hands significance. Two-thirds for Chukwuma. The rest for Nonye’s exceptional humanism.
