Anambra State Police has foiled a kidnap attempt and recovered a victim's vehicle at Isuaniocha community, Awka North Local Government Area.
According to a press release made available to newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwku Ikenga, Police Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cultism Squad Enugu-Ukwu in the evening of 17th May 2025 foiled a kidnapping attempt and recovered the victim's vehicle at Isuaniocha.
"The kidnapping gang of five operating in a black coloured Toyota Corolla doublecrossed the victim at Amatu village, Agulu and abducted him with his black Lexus 350 SUV before the Police were alerted.
"The operatives in technology-driven manhunt on the criminals made them to abandon the victim and the vehicle on the road at Isuaniocha and fled. The victim has been debriefed and in safe custody.
"To this end, the Operatives are currently working on the necessary information available to dislodge the kidnapping gang and have stepped up security surveillance in the area for possible arrest of the suspect and to nip in the bud any untoward situation.
