Utuh Monarch Celebrates Ofala Festival and 7th Coronation Anniversary

The Utuh Kingdom in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State recently marked a monumental occasion, celebrating its first-ever ofala festival since the coronation of its Reverend monarch, His Royal Highness Igwe Peter Ilomuanya Eze Onyodli II this grand celebration, held at the royal palace, not only commemorated the 7th anniversary of Igwe Ilomuanya's ascension to the throne but also showcased the enduring spirit of unity and peace within the kingdom. The event drew an impressive gathering from all walks of life, each eager to pay tribute to a monarch celebrated for his leadership and commitment to peace.
In an exclusive interview Igwe Peter Ilomuanya expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the success of the festival, attributing the flawless execution of the event to divine favor.He emphasized his unwavering dedication to fostering harmony, love, and exemplary leadership within the community, while also extending his thanks to those whose contributions made the event a resounding success.
Sir Ignatius Chidebe Ofordi, president General of the Utuh Development Union (UDU), described inaugural ofala festival as a historic and pivotal event for the kingdom.As a distinguished lecturer in English language and literature at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Sir Ofodi shared his immense joy that this remarkable cerebration took place during his tenure as president general. He credited the festival's success to the collective effort of the Utuh people, underscoring the strong sense of unity, love, and progress that the event symbolized.
Expressing deep appreciation for the community's unwavering support, Sir Ofodi noted that continued communal growth would ensure the success of future events.' If the community thrives, we will be able to sustain and sponsor such grand occasion.We pray for the continued prosperity of Utuh,' he remarked.
Chief Ikenna Okoye, chairman of the Igwe in council and widely known as Ebubechukwuzo of Utuh, also shared his excitement for the festival, praising it as a blessing for the kingdom. Outlining his four-point agenda for the future of Utuh, Chief Okoye highlighting plans to rehabilitate key infrastructure,construct a befitting residence for the month, and establish a tourism centre to showcase the the rich culture and heritage of Utuh. He also prayed for Igwe Ilomuanya's continued wisdom, protection, and guidance throughout his reign.
The ofala festival was further graced by several distinguished personalities Including the palace secretary Chief Okonna Mbanefo,the chairman of Utuh Diamond brothers Mr Izuchukwu " Osisiego '1 of Utuh, and many others who expressed their pride in the success of the festival and their shared community to the kingdom's advancement.
