Oraeri Community Holds Final Ofala Festival in Honour of Late Monarch, Ogbuefi Emmanuel Nriagu

The Oraeri Community in Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, recently came together to celebrate the final Ofala Festival in honour of their late monarch, His Royal Highness Ogbuefi Emmanuel Ogochukwu Nriagu. This emotional occasion marked the community's farewell to their respected leader, who had played a central role in shaping their traditions and values.
Evangelist Alex Agudosi, the President General of Oraeri, described the event as a heartfelt tribute to the late monarch. He confirmed that the Ofala Festival was the final one held in Ogbuefi Emmanuel Nriagu’s honour, following his passing. Agudosi expressed his gratitude for the impressive turnout, with dignitaries from all parts of Anambra State and beyond attending to pay their respects to the late king.
During his address, Agudosi prayed for the community, asking for God's guidance in providing Oraeri with a new leader who would continue the legacy of the late monarch. He also extended his thanks to all the guests, praying for their safe return to their homes after the event.
Comrade Casmir Uchenna Obiakor, Secretary General of the Oraeri Development Union (ODU), emphasized the significance of the occasion as a farewell to the departed king. Obiakor, a lecturer at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu -Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus, noted that people from various regions of Anambra, including Akpo, Nnokwa, Ichida, and Nnewi, had gathered to honour the late Ogbuefi Nriagu.
He commended the smooth execution of the event, highlighting the unity and respect shown by all who attended.
